Fine Wood Products For The Home, Gameroom & Garage

Guided by the tree nymph Dryad, I create fine wood products for human enjoyment and have been professionally doing so for 44+ years. At a young age I was inspired and tutored by my father Carl, an award winning craftsman himself, and starting in 1976, I served a 4 year carpenters apprenticeship in Cleveland, Ohio. As then, and continuing to this day in Florida, all pieces are hand made using natures finest hardwoods, some procured from the family Indiana tree farm (Wildwood), established 1925. Through the years I have built numerous custom homes, shifted to interior staircases, kitchens, wallunits, furniture and these days I dabble in items made for the household, including music, auto, motorcycle, pinball and arcade related items, hobbies of mine. Just trying to have a little fun in my latter years of woodworking and put to use all the stash wood that I've collected. Solid hardwoods are used and clear-coats are water-based and non toxic environmentally friendly. Most woods used, fall in the figured wood category, such as birdseye, curly, crotch, spalted, quilted, fiddleback, etc., any wood that looks wild/unique to me.
Woods that are quarter sawn, end cut, flat sawn, etc., can create figures in wood also, to a beautiful effect.
Some wood species used include: Walnut, Rosewood, Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, Ash, Red Oak, White Oak, Norfolk Island Pine, Royal Poinciana, Coconut Palm, Ficus Elastica, Florida Hickory, Teak, Purpleheart, Koa, etc.

Some clear-coat pieces (boxes mainly) are hand rubbed and polished to expose the figured woods beauty. Box tops will change color as you circle them. The older these heirloom pieces get, the more character they acquire.

Cutting Boards are solid maple or maple / cherry / walnut mix and are made somewhat regularly, check price page for availability, or they can be made to order. They are mineral oiled and should be oiled  2 - 3 times a year.

All Picture Framed items have a timeless design and splined corners for long lasting durability. Let me know if you need something special framed. I also box arcade marquees and make translight / backglass light boxes for the pinball / arcade community.

Have not been on this site or my facebook lately as I have downsized my shop in the last year, moved out of my large building and now work out of my home.
Spending more time shooting video and stills of the local musicians and making music related items, new things to come (an etching machine to personalize items), keep checking back and thanks for looking.
